双螺未合，双蛾先敛，家在碧云西。别母情怀，随郎滋味，桃叶渡江时。
译文：家住碧云西的一位漂亮姑娘，在出嫁头发还没梳理好，左右双螺没合，双眉就紧收在一起了，马上要离开母亲的怀抱，做人家的新娘，能有桃叶随王献之那样幸福吗？
注释：双螺：指少女头上的两个螺形发髻，故旧有丫头之称。双蛾：指美女的两眉。蛾：螺子黛，乃女子涂眉之颜料，其色青黑，或以代眉毛。碧云西：指美人住所。桃叶：王献之之妾名，其妹名桃根。因王献之有《桃叶歌》而在南京秦淮河上有桃叶渡故址。
扁舟载了，匆匆归去，今夜泊前溪。杨柳津头，梨花墙外，心事两人知。
译文：答案还没有出来，就被一只小船勿勿载走，今天就要到武康前溪去过夜。一路上春光明媚，春意浓烈。渡头的杨柳垂荫，梨花开出人家墙外，嫁娶的心事只有他们两人知道。
注释：扁舟：小船。前溪：今浙江省武康县，县前有溪流。张平甫在此曾有别墅。津头：河流的一头，也称渡头。

姜夔，南宋文学家、音乐家。人品秀拔，体态清莹，气貌若不胜衣，望之若神仙中人。往来鄂、赣、皖、苏、浙间，与诗人词家杨万里、范成大、辛弃疾等交游。庆元中，曾上书乞正太常雅乐，他少年孤贫，屡试不第，终生未仕，一生转徙江湖，靠卖字和朋友接济为生。他多才多艺，精通音律，能自度曲，其词格律严密。其作品素以空灵含蓄著称，有《白石道人歌曲》等。姜夔对诗词、散文、书法、音乐，无不精善，是继苏轼之后又一难得的艺术全才。
