云隔迷楼，苔封很石，人向何处。数骑秋烟，一篙寒汐，千古穴来去。使君心在，苍厓绿嶂，苦被北门留住。有尊中酒差可饮，大旗尽绣熊虎。
译文：扬州城外云雾弥漫，很石四周已遍布苔藓，当年的英雄人物现在又去了哪里？只有秋烟中的征骑、寒潮中的船只，仍然年复一年地空自来去。他的心，已热爱上了青崖绿嶂的田园生活，却苦于被委派到京口这个北疆的门户，虽有樽中酒可供饮用，却仍需举起满绣着熊虎的大旗。
注释：迷楼：楼名，隋炀帝建于扬州。与北固亭隔江相望。很石：石名，在江苏镇江北固山甘露寺，形如伏羊。相传孙权刘备曾经于石头上论事。人：指隋炀帝、孙权、刘备等人。骑：一人一马。篙：撑船的竹竿。汐：晚潮。使君：汉代对州郡的刺史的称呼，这里指辛弃疾。苍厓绿嶂：苍翠碧绿的山峦。厓：同“崖”。北门：指南宋北疆门户京口。尊：酒器。差：略微。
前身诸葛，来游此地，数语便酬三顾。楼外冥冥，江皋隐隐，认得征西路。中原生聚，神京耆老，南望长淮金鼓。问当时、依依种柳，至今在否。
译文：你是昔日的诸葛在世，到此一游，军事上寥寥数语便可得“三顾茅庐”般的赏识。而今扬州城外昏暗不明，江边隐约看不清，（稼轩你却能）辨认得清征西之路。中原地区民多财足，汴京的老人们，日夜南望盼望着你的北伐。稼轩啊，在这北伐的前夕，你在想什么？你是否想问那当年自己亲手种下的依依垂柳：而今，你可安好？
注释：前身诸葛：以诸葛亮比辛弃疾。酬：酬答，报谢。三顾：指刘备的三顾茅庐。冥冥：昏暗不明的样子。皋：水边高地。隐隐：隐约不清晰。征西：桓温西征蜀地，得胜回到金陵后，进位为征西大将军。中原：这里指沦陷的北方地区。生聚：繁衍人口，积聚物力。神京：指北宋都城汴京。耆老：老人。耆，六十岁曰耆。长淮：淮河，是南宋时宋金对峙的前线。金鼓：军中用器。金：即金钲，用以收兵，鼓用以进攻。

姜夔，南宋文学家、音乐家。人品秀拔，体态清莹，气貌若不胜衣，望之若神仙中人。往来鄂、赣、皖、苏、浙间，与诗人词家杨万里、范成大、辛弃疾等交游。庆元中，曾上书乞正太常雅乐，他少年孤贫，屡试不第，终生未仕，一生转徙江湖，靠卖字和朋友接济为生。他多才多艺，精通音律，能自度曲，其词格律严密。其作品素以空灵含蓄著称，有《白石道人歌曲》等。姜夔对诗词、散文、书法、音乐，无不精善，是继苏轼之后又一难得的艺术全才。
