君夸通塘好，通塘胜耶溪。
译文：你夸九江通塘的风光好，甚至胜过会稽的若耶溪。
注释：耶溪：即若耶溪，溪名。在浙江绍兴市若耶山，北流入运河。相传为西施浣纱之所。
通塘在何处，远在寻阳西。
译文：通塘在什么地方啊？就在九江的西边。
注释：寻阳：即浔阳，唐代郡名。今江西九江市。
青萝袅袅挂烟树，白鹇处处聚沙堤。
译文：青藤绿萝，袅袅依依，高挂碧树；沙洲堤上，白鹇翩翩，时起时落，聚集在一起玩耍。
注释：袅袅：也作“嫋嫋”，柔弱貌。白鹇：鸟名。又名银雉，似山鸡而白色。
石门中断平湖出，百丈金潭照云日。
译文：下游江岸陡立如石门，上游堵出一片平湖，水波荡漾；百丈深的金潭映照着天空的云彩和太阳。
何处沧浪垂钓翁，鼓棹渔歌趣非一。
译文：那里来的神仙般的钓鱼翁，和着敲船棹的节奏唱着优美的渔歌，趣味不凡啊！
注释：沧浪翁：即沧浪老人，指隐者。鼓棹：划桨行船。
相逢不相识，出没绕通塘。
译文：正是相逢不相识，来回通塘都绕道走，不愿意与俗人交往。
浦边清水明素足，别有浣沙吴女郎。
译文：更美的是：江边沙洲旁一双白皙的双脚在清澈的水中嬉戏，哈，原来是一位浣纱的妙龄女郎。
注释：浦：水边。
行尽绿潭潭转幽，疑是武陵春碧流。
译文：细细围着绿潭转了个圈，潭水变得越来越清幽，就像是传说中武陵源的碧水清流。
注释：武陵：秦汉郡名。即今湖南常德。因桃花源在武陵，故代指桃花源。
秦人鸡犬桃花里，将比通塘渠见羞。
译文：那渔翁就像秦朝人与鸡犬一道生活在桃花源，若把通塘与桃花源比较，桃花源也要害羞。
注释：秦人二句：谓桃花源比不上通塘。晋代桃花源里的人，都是避乱的秦人的后代。“鸡犬桃花里”，是桃花源里的景象。
通塘不忍别，十去九迟回。
译文：去了通塘就不想回家，去十次、九次都是玩到很晚才回家。
注释：迟回：徘徊。
偶逢佳境心已醉，忽有一鸟从天来。
译文：偶尔遇到如此佳境，怎么不叫人陶醉万分？忽然有一只鸟从天边飞来。
月出青山送行子，四边苦竹秋声起。
译文：明媚的月亮也出山了，好给游子照亮回家的路，秋风劲起，四周的苦竹也唱起送别的歌声。
注释：行子：出行的人。
长吟白雪望星河，双垂两足扬素波。
译文：遥望天上的星河，我们唱起阳春白雪，坐在船舷，把双足垂在清波中拨弄白浪。
注释：白雪：即《阳春白雪》，古代高雅的民歌，后一般指高雅的文艺作品。这里誉称卢侍御的《通塘曲》。
梁鸿德耀会稽日，宁知此中乐事多。
译文：那古代的隐士梁鸿隐居在会稽的时候，恐怕也不知道此地有如此美景如此乐事吧？
注释：梁鸿句：《后汉书·逸民传》：（梁鸿）遂至吴，依大家皋伯通，居庑下，为人赁舂。每归，妻为举食，不敢于鸿前仰视，举案齐眉。伯通察而异之，曰：“彼庸能使其妻敬之如是，非凡人也。”乃方舍之于家。德耀，梁鸿妻孟光字。按：梁鸿依皋伯通之吴，当时尚无“吴郡”之称，其地隶属会稽郡。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
