南北朝：鲍照
吾自发寒雨，全行日少，加秋潦浩汗，山溪猥至，渡泝无边，险径游历，栈石星饭，结荷水宿，旅客贫辛，波路壮阔，始以今日食时，仅及大雷。涂登千里，日逾十晨，严霜惨节，悲风断肌，去亲为客，如何如何！
译文： 自从我冒寒雨出发以来，整个行程中很少见到太阳，加之秋日雨大水涨，山间溪水一下子流入长江，在无边广阔的水面上渡过或逆流，在险绝的路上游历。夜间在山路上进餐，连起荷叶屏障在水边过夜。旅途行客贫苦艰辛，水路壮阔漫长，直到今日晚饭时，才到达大雷岸。跋涉千里路程，日子超过十天，寒霜刺骨，悲凉的秋风割人肌肤。离开亲人成为行客，心情是何等的凄怆。
注释： 大雷：地名。在今安徽省望江县。晋置大雷戍，刘裕讨卢循，自雷池进军大雷，即此。其源叫大雷水，自今湖北黄梅县界东流，经安徽宿松县至望江县东南，积而成雷池。潦：路上的雨水，积水。猥：众，多。
向因涉顿，凭观川陆；遨神清渚，流睇方曛；东顾五州之隔，西眺九派之分；窥地门之绝景，望天际之孤云。长图大念，隐心者久矣。
译文： 从开始到现在趁着行与宿，凭览河川与陆地，眺望水中清明的小洲，放眼黄昏的景色；向东回顾有五洲之隔，向西眺望江有九道之分。看地门夕阳的余光，望天际冉冉孤云。深思远虑，发现已经忧伤很久了。
注释： 流睇：随意浏览。曛：黄昏。五州：地名，因长江中有五洲相接，故称。九派：此处指作者赴任目的地江州。
南则积山万状，负气争高，含霞饮景，参差代雄，淩跨长陇，前后相属，带天有匝，横地无穷；东则砥原远隰，亡端靡际，寒蓬夕卷，古树云平，旋风四起，思鸟群归，静听无闻，极视不见。北则陂池潜演，湖脉通连，苎蒿攸积，菰芦所繁，栖波之鸟，水化之虫，智吞愚，强捕小，号噪惊聒，纷乎其中；西则回江永指，长波天合，滔滔何穷，漫漫安竭？创古迄今，舳舻相接。思尽波涛，悲满潭壑。烟归八表，终为野尘。而是注集，长写不测，修灵浩荡，知其何故哉？
译文：北则陂池潜演，湖脉通连，苎蒿攸积，菰芦所繁，栖波之鸟，水化之虫，智吞愚，强捕小，号噪惊聒，，纷乎其中；西则回江永指，长波天合，滔滔何穷，漫漫安竭？
注释：北则陂(bēi)池潜演，湖脉通连，苎(zhù)蒿攸积，菰(gū)芦所繁，栖波之鸟，水化之虫，智吞愚，强捕小，号噪惊聒(guō)，，纷乎其中；西则回江永指，长波天合，滔滔何穷，漫漫安竭？
西南望庐山，又特惊异。基压江潮，峰与辰汉相接。上常积云霞，雕锦缛。若华夕曜，岩泽气通，传明散彩，赫似绛天。左右青霭，表里紫霄。从岭而上，气尽金光，半山以下，纯为黛色。信可以神居帝郊，镇控湘汉者也。
若潀洞所积，溪壑所射，鼓怒之所豗击，涌澓之所宕涤，则上穷荻浦，下至狶洲；南薄燕

鲍照（约415年～466年）南朝宋文学家，与颜延之、谢灵运合称“元嘉三大家”。字明远，汉族，祖籍东海（治所在今山东郯城西南，辖区包括今江苏涟水，久居建康（今南京）。家世贫贱，临海王刘子顼镇荆州时，任前军参军。刘子顼作乱，照为乱兵所杀。他长于乐府诗，其七言诗对唐代诗歌的发展起了很重要的作用。有《鲍参军集》。
