马穿山径菊初黄，信马悠悠野兴长。
译文：马儿穿行在山路上菊花已微黄，任由马匹自由地行走兴致悠长。
注释：信马：骑着马随意行走。野兴：指陶醉于山林美景，怡然自得的乐趣。
万壑有声含晚籁，数峰无语立斜阳。
译文：千万的山谷回荡着声响静听夜，看数座山峰在夕阳下默默无语。
注释：晚籁：指秋声。籁，大自然的声响。
棠梨叶落胭脂色，荞麦花开白雪香。
译文：棠梨的落叶红得好似胭脂一般，香气扑鼻的荞麦花啊洁白如雪。
注释：棠梨：杜梨，又名白梨、白棠。落叶乔木，木质优良，叶含红色。荞麦：一年生草本植物，秋季开白色小花，果实呈黑红色三棱状。
何事吟余忽惆怅，村桥原树似吾乡。
译文：是什么让我在吟诗时忽觉惆怅，原来乡村小桥像极了我的家乡！
注释：原树：原野上的树。原，原野。

王禹偁（954—1001）北宋白体诗人、散文家。字元之，汉族，济州巨野（今山东省巨野县）人，晚被贬于黄州，世称王黄州。太平兴国八年进士，历任右拾遗、左司谏、知制诰、翰林学士。敢于直言讽谏，因此屡受贬谪。真宗即位，召还，复知制诰。后贬知黄州，又迁蕲州病死。王禹偁为北宋诗文革新运动的先驱，文学韩愈、柳宗元，诗崇杜甫、白居易，多反映社会现实，风格清新平易。词仅存一首，反映了作者积极用世的政治抱负，格调清新旷远。著有《小畜集》。
