我来吊古，上危楼、赢得闲愁千斛。虎踞龙蟠何处是，只有兴亡满目。柳外斜阳，水边归鸟，陇上吹乔木。片帆西去，一声谁喷霜竹。
译文：我来凭吊古人的陈迹，登上高楼，却落得愁闷无穷。当年虎踞龙蟠的帝王之都今在何处？满目所见只是千古兴亡的遗踪。夕阳斜照着迷茫的柳树，水边觅食的鸟儿急促地飞回窝中，风儿吹拂着高树，掠过荒凉的丘垄。一只孤独的船儿在秦淮河中匆匆西去，不知何人把激越的寒笛吹弄。
注释：念奴娇：词牌名，又名《百字令》《酹江月》等，双调一百字，前后阕各四仄韵。赏心亭：位于建康下水门之上，下临秦淮河，是当时的游览名胜，辛弃疾特爱登此亭眺望。吊古：凭吊古迹。危楼：高楼，此代指赏心亭。斛：度量容器，古人以十斗为一斛。虎踞龙蟠：形容建康城地势之险要，气势之峥嵘。兴亡：指六朝兴亡古迹。偏重于“亡”。陇：田埂，此泛指田野。乔木：高大的树木。片帆：孤舟。喷霜竹：谓吹笛。喷，吹奏。霜竹，秋天之竹，借以指笛。
却忆安石风流，东山岁晚，泪落哀筝曲。儿辈功名都付与，长日惟消棋局。宝镜难寻，碧云将暮，谁劝杯中绿。江头风怒，朝来波浪翻屋。
译文：回想当年那功业显赫的谢安，晚年被迫在东山闲居，也被悲哀的筝声引起伤恸。建功扬名的希望都寄托在儿辈身上，漫长的白日只有消磨在棋局中。表明心迹的宝镜已难于寻觅，岁月又将无情地逝去，谁能安慰我的情怀共饮酒一盅？早晨以来江上便狂风怒号，高浪似要翻倒房屋，真令人忧悚。
注释：安石：谢安，字安石，东晋著名政治家。风流：指谢安丰采照人，英才盖世。东山岁晚：谓谢安晚年。泪落哀筝曲：晋孝武帝末年，谢安位高遭忌。“儿辈”二句：言谢安将建功立业的机会都交付给儿辈，自己惟以下棋度日。宝镜难寻：喻知我者难觅。碧云将暮：言天色将晚，喻岁月消逝，人生易老。杯中绿：杯中酒。波浪翻屋：形容水势汹涌浩大。

辛弃疾（1140－1207），南宋词人。原字坦夫，改字幼安，别号稼轩，汉族，历城（今山东济南）人。出生时，中原已为金兵所占。21岁参加抗金义军，不久归南宋。历任湖北、江西、湖南、福建、浙东安抚使等职。一生力主抗金。曾上《美芹十论》与《九议》，条陈战守之策。其词抒写力图恢复国家统一的爱国热情，倾诉壮志难酬的悲愤，对当时执政者的屈辱求和颇多谴责；也有不少吟咏祖国河山的作品。题材广阔又善化用前人典故入词，风格沉雄豪迈又不乏细腻柔媚之处。由于辛弃疾的抗金主张与当政的主和派政见不合，后被弹劾落职，退隐江西带湖。
