恨春易去，甚春却向扬州住。微雨，正茧栗梢头弄诗句。红桥二十四，总是行云处。无语，渐半脱宫衣笑相顾。
译文：正怨恨春光易去之时，却目睹芍药开放，为什么这春色会移住扬州？微雨之中，在浮云飘过的二十四桥周围，芍药吐出如茧似栗的花蕾，仿佛在捉笔写诗。芍药默默不语，宛如美女脱掉宫装含情微笑。
注释：茧栗：本言牛犊之角初生，如茧如栗，见《礼记·五制》。此借用以言花苞之小。红桥二十四：二十四桥为古代扬州名胜。半脱宫衣：这里借指花开一半。宫衣，原指宫女的服装。
金壶细叶，千朵围歌舞。谁念我、鬓成丝，来此共尊俎。后日西园，绿阴无数。寂寞刘郎，自修花谱。
译文：椭圆形似金色酒壶的花叶与千万株艳丽的花朵，被载歌载舞的赏花人群所包围。谁会想到我，两鬓已经斑白，来此地赏花饮酒。待到春尽夏来，名园绿肥红瘦之时，我愿意默默无闻地为芍药编修花谱。
注释：茧栗：本言牛犊之角初生，如茧如栗，见《礼记·五制》。此借用以言花苞之小。红桥二十四：二十四桥为古代扬州名胜。半脱宫衣：这里借指花开一半。宫衣，原指宫女的服装。金壶：酒器。这里指硕大的黄色花朵。尊俎：古代盛酒肉的器皿。这里指饮酒。尊，盛酒器；俎，置肉之几。西园：此处泛指园林。

姜夔，南宋文学家、音乐家。人品秀拔，体态清莹，气貌若不胜衣，望之若神仙中人。往来鄂、赣、皖、苏、浙间，与诗人词家杨万里、范成大、辛弃疾等交游。庆元中，曾上书乞正太常雅乐，他少年孤贫，屡试不第，终生未仕，一生转徙江湖，靠卖字和朋友接济为生。他多才多艺，精通音律，能自度曲，其词格律严密。其作品素以空灵含蓄著称，有《白石道人歌曲》等。姜夔对诗词、散文、书法、音乐，无不精善，是继苏轼之后又一难得的艺术全才。
