仙姥来时，正一望、千顷翠澜。旌旗共、乱云俱下，依约前山。命驾群龙金作轭，相从诸娣玉为冠。向夜深、风定悄无人，闻佩环。
译文：当神姥出现时，一望千顷的巢湖上，碧波翻卷。她的旌旗仪仗与缭乱的浮云一道，隐隐约约降落在前边的山上。她的车子是由一群神龙拖驾的，黄金的车轭闪闪发亮。她由一班妾媵陪伴着，每个人头上都戴着白玉冠。夜渐深，风停住了。她们也隐没不见了，寂静中只听见佩环碰击的叮咚声响。
神奇处，君试看。奠淮右，阻江南。遣六丁雷电，别守东关。却笑英雄无好手，一篙春水走曹瞒。又怎知、人在小红楼，帘影间。
译文：这神姥的威力确实神奇，你看吧：她镇守着淮右地区，拱卫着江南一带，还派出六丁神将，带着雷霆和闪电，扼守着东关。却笑人世间那些所谓“英雄”，没有几个是真正有本事的。你看，一篙春水，就把不可一世的曹阿瞒给吓走了。他又哪里知道，这位厉害的对手，竟是住在小红楼上．帘幕之内的弱质女子呢！
注释：仙姥：神仙妇女。依约：隐隐约约。轭：驾车时套在马颈上的曲型器具，一般木制。相从诸娣：随从神姥的诸位仙姑。此句下白石自注：“庙中列坐如夫人者十三人。娣：古称同夫诸妾。佩环：指诸神身上的装饰品。

姜夔，南宋文学家、音乐家。人品秀拔，体态清莹，气貌若不胜衣，望之若神仙中人。往来鄂、赣、皖、苏、浙间，与诗人词家杨万里、范成大、辛弃疾等交游。庆元中，曾上书乞正太常雅乐，他少年孤贫，屡试不第，终生未仕，一生转徙江湖，靠卖字和朋友接济为生。他多才多艺，精通音律，能自度曲，其词格律严密。其作品素以空灵含蓄著称，有《白石道人歌曲》等。姜夔对诗词、散文、书法、音乐，无不精善，是继苏轼之后又一难得的艺术全才。
