夜渚带浮烟，苍茫晦远天。
译文：江中小洲笼罩在一片烟雾之中，天空也呈现一片苍茫晦暗之色。
注释：渚：水中的小块陆地。晦：光线不明，昏暗。
舟轻不觉动，缆急始知牵。
译文：船只轻小人不觉其动，看到船边缆绳被拉直才知道船夫正背纤而行。
听笛遥寻岸，闻香暗识莲。
译文：听见笛声从对岸传来知道离岸不远了，又闻到荷花香味知道岸边长满了荷花。
唯看去帆影，常恐客心悬。
译文：夜色虽然晦暗却可看见隐约的帆影，在黑暗中好像悬挂在空中犹如渡客提心吊胆一般。
注释：恐：一作“似”。

姚崇（651年－721年），本名元崇，字元之，陕州硖石（今河南陕县）人，唐代著名政治家，嶲州都督姚懿之子。姚崇文武双全，历仕则天、中宗、睿宗三朝，两次拜为宰相，并兼任兵部尚书。他曾参与神龙政变，后因不肯依附太平公主，被贬为刺史。唐玄宗亲政后，姚崇被任命兵部尚书、同平章事，进拜中书令，封梁国公。他提出十事要说，实行新政，辅佐唐玄宗开创开元盛世，被称为救时宰相。姚崇执政三年，与房玄龄、杜如晦、宋璟并称唐朝四大贤相。721年（开元九年），姚崇去世，追赠扬州大都督，赐谥文献。
