金山楼观何眈眈，撞钟击鼓闻淮南。
译文：金山的寺院楼阁多么壮伟深邃，撞钟击鼓的宏亮声音一直传到淮南。
注释：眈眈：深邃貌。淮南：指扬州。
焦山何有有修竹，采薪汲水僧两三。
译文：焦山到底有什么？只有茂密长竹，打柴汲水的僧侣不过二三。
注释：焦山：在长江中，因汉末焦先隐居于此，故名，与金山对峙，并称“金、焦”。
云霾浪打人迹绝，时有沙户祈春蚕。
译文：翻卷的波涛汹涌人迹罕到，时有沙田农户前去祈求春蚕。
注释：云霾：阴云，形容翻卷的浪涛。沙户：沙洲上的人家。
我来金山更留宿，而此不到心怀惭。
译文：我来金山还在此地留宿，不去焦山让我心中自惭。
注释：此：指焦山。
同游尽返决独往，赋命穷薄轻江潭。
译文：同游的人都已返回，我决然独自前往，天生命穷运薄不惧怕险恶的江潭。
注释：尽返：一本作“兴尽”。赋命：天生的命运。
清晨无风浪自涌，中流歌啸倚半酣。
译文：清晨无风波浪兀自腾涌，舟行中流我高歌长啸趁着饮酒半酣。
老僧下山惊客至，迎笑喜作巴人谈。
译文：老僧下山惊异我这远客来到，笑着迎接知是同乡，欣喜地亲切交谈。
自言久客忘乡井，只有弥勒为同龛。
译文：老僧说久客异地已忘怀故里，终年只是跟弥勒佛相随相伴。
注释：弥勒：佛名。弥勒是姓，为慈氏；字阿逸多，义为无胜。同龛（）：意为同室相伴。龛，盛着佛像或神主的小阁。
困眠得就纸帐暖，饱食未厌山蔬甘。
译文：困眠时纸帐中十分温暖，饱食从来没嫌弃山中菜蔬味道不甘。
注释：纸帐：纸作的帐子。用藤皮茧纸缠于木上，以索缠紧，勒作皱纹，不用糊，以绵拆缝，以稀布为顶，取其透气。
山林饥卧古亦有，无田不退宁非贪。
译文：居住在山林从古以来就会有饥饿，未置田产因此不肯退隐岂不太贪？
展禽虽未三见黜，叔夜自知七不堪。
译文：我虽然没像展禽那样三次被罢，却如嵇康般自知出仕有七种不堪。
注释：黜，废免。
行当投劾谢簪组，为我佳处留茅庵。
译文：我就要自己请求辞去官职，请为我在山水佳处留一茅屋且把身安。
注释：投劾：指自劾。劾，检举过失，古代官员检举某官过失，向上司或朝廷打报告，称“劾状”。凡是被劾或自劾的，视其过失大小，予以不同的处分。谢簪组：辞去官职。谢，辞谢。簪，固冠的签子。组，系印的带子。簪组犹言冠带，指有官职的人。茅庵：草舍。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
