宋代：秦观
秦峰苍翠，耶溪潇洒，千岩万壑争流。鸳瓦雉城，谯门画戟，蓬莱燕阁三休。天际识归舟，泛五湖烟月，西子同游。茂草台荒，苎萝村冷起闲愁。
译文：秦望山青绿秀丽，若耶溪清凉幽雅，在千岩万壑中争相流淌。女墙是用鸳鸯瓦盖成的，城墙上列有手执画戟的士兵，而蓬莱则势如飞燕，高达“三休”。看到那远在天际的一叶扁舟，使我想起了同范蠡浪迹太湖的西施，当年的姑苏台已荒芜不堪，西施的故里苎萝村也已今非昔比，我也因此有了些许寂寞惆怅的感觉。
注释：秦峰：即秦望山，在会稽。耶溪：即若耶溪，在会稽。溪旁有院纱石，相传西施尝浣纱于此。鸳瓦雉城：鸳瓦，即鸳鸯瓦，喻瓦之成对者。雉城，指城上齿状小墙，又名雉堞、女墙。谯门画戟：谯门，楼下城门。画戟，戟上施有彩画者。蓬莱燕阁三休：蓬莱燕阁，即蓬莱阁，系游宴之所。燕，通“宴”。三休，形容蓬莱阁之高。五湖：即太湖。茂草台荒：当初吴王夫差为西施所筑的姑苏台今已杂草丛生，一片荒芜。姑苏台旧址在今江苏苏州西南。苎萝村：西施故里，在今浙江诸暨苎萝山下。
何人览古凝眸。怅朱颜易失，翠被难留。梅市旧书，兰亭古墨，依稀风韵生秋。狂客鉴湖头，有百年台沼，终日夷犹。最好金龟换酒，相与醉沧州。
译文：谁人看史书看得伤了神，总是感叹青春易失，欢娱难久呢？我能不能像梅福、王羲之一样，留名青史？不过倒不如学那“四明狂客”贺知章，不为名利所累，在镜湖旁从容自得，逍遥其中，最好再把那富贵功禄都换成美酒，在这块远离尘世的水滨地尽情享乐。
注释：朱颜：红润之颜，指青春时。翠被：原意是以翠羽饰被，这里比喻华贵的衣饰。梅市旧书：梅市，地名。狂客鉴湖头：狂客，唐代诗人贺知章自号“四明狂客”，晚年退居会稽鉴湖。夷犹：犹豫，此处意为从容自得。金龟换酒：典出《本事诗》。金龟：唐代官员的一种佩饰。

秦观（1049-1100）字太虚，又字少游，别号邗沟居士，世称淮海先生。汉族，北宋高邮（今江苏）人，官至太学博士，国史馆编修。秦观一 生坎坷，所写诗词，高古沉重，寄托身世，感人至深。秦观生前行踪所至之处，多有遗迹。如浙江杭州的秦少游祠，丽水的秦少游塑像、淮海先生祠、莺花亭；青田的秦学士祠；湖南郴州三绝碑；广西横县的海棠亭、醉乡亭、淮海堂、淮海书院等。秦观墓在无锡惠山之北粲山上，墓碑上书“秦龙图墓”几个大字。有秦家村、秦家大院以及省级文物保护单位古文游台。
