《燕诗示刘叟》翻译及注释

唐代：白居易
梁上有双燕，翩翩雄与雌。
译文：屋梁上来了一双燕子，翩翩飞舞，一雄一雌。
注释：翩翩：鸟飞轻疾的样子。
衔泥两椽间，一巢生四儿。
译文：衔泥在椽条间垒窝，一窝生下乳燕四只。
注释：椽：装于屋顶以支持屋顶盖材料的木杆。
四儿日夜长，索食声孜孜。
译文：四只乳燕日夜成长，求食的叫声喳喳不住。
注释：索食：求食。孜：勤勉、努力不懈的样子。
青虫不易捕，黄口无饱期。
译文：青虫不容易抓到，黄口小燕似乎从来没吃饱饭。
注释：黄口：小儿。《淮南子·汜论训》：“古之伐国，不杀黄口。”高诱注：“黄口，幼也。”
觜爪虽欲敝，心力不知疲。
译文：双燕用爪抓，用嘴衔，气力用尽，不知疲倦。
注释：觜：觜爪指鸟类的爪和嘴。敝：这里指疲惫，困乏，衰败。心力：指精神与体力。
须臾十来往，犹恐巢中饥。
译文：不一会儿往返十来转，还怕饿着窝里的小燕。
注释：须臾：顷刻；瞬间。
辛勤三十日，母瘦雏渐肥。
译文：辛辛苦苦忙了三十天，拖瘦了母燕喂肥了小燕。
注释：雏：幼小的鸟。
喃喃教言语，一一刷毛衣。
译文：喃喃不断教小燕发音，一一为它们梳理打扮。
注释：刷毛：整理羽毛。
一旦羽翼成，引上庭树枝。
译文：小燕一朝羽毛长得丰满，引上了庭院里的树枝，
注释：庭树枝：庭院里的树枝。
举翅不回顾，随风四散飞。
译文：再不回头，随着风儿四下飞散。
注释：“举翅”句：向上伸起翅膀而不回头看。
雌雄空中鸣，声尽呼不归。
译文：雌雄双燕，空中叫喊，声嘶力竭，也唤不回还。
却入空巢里，啁啾终夜悲。
译文：只好回到空窝里面，悲鸣通宵不断！
注释：啁啾：形容鸟叫声、奏乐声等。
燕燕尔勿悲，尔当返自思。
译文：老燕啊，切莫悲叹，你们应当回想从前：
思尔为雏日，高飞背母时。
译文：想想你们是乳燕的时代，也同样远走高飞，
当时父母念，今日尔应知。
译文：抛弃父母那时父母多么挂念，今天你们应有体验！

白居易（772年－846年），字乐天，号香山居士，又号醉吟先生，祖籍太原，到其曾祖父时迁居下邽，生于河南新郑。是唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，唐代三大诗人之一。白居易与元稹共同倡导新乐府运动，世称“元白”，与刘禹锡并称“刘白”。白居易的诗歌题材广泛，形式多样，语言平易通俗，有“诗魔”和“诗王”之称。官至翰林学士、左赞善大夫。公元846年，白居易在洛阳逝世，葬于香山。有《白氏长庆集》传世，代表诗作有《长恨歌》、《卖炭翁》、《琵琶行》等。
