王郎酒酣拔剑斫地歌莫哀！我能拔尔抑塞磊落之奇才。
译文：王郎你趁着酒兴拔剑起舞来发泄心中愤慨，不必悲哀，我能举荐你这个忧郁而坦荡的人间奇才。
注释：斫：本义为大锄。引申为砍，斫地：砍地。莫哀：不要悲哀。拔：提拔，推举。抑塞：犹抑郁，郁闷，愤闷，被压抑。磊落：形容胸怀坦白。
豫章翻风白日动，鲸鱼跋浪沧溟开。且脱佩剑休徘徊。
译文：船帆在风中摇摆，鲸鱼在大海里乘浪而行，你先放下手中之剑，不要犹豫，划船去见西蜀的诸侯。
注释：豫章：两种乔木名，樟类，都是优良的建筑材料。翻风：风中摇动。白日动：树大则风大，白日为之动。跋浪：涉浪，乘浪。沧溟：海水弥漫的样子，这里指大海。且：暂且。脱：卸下，取下，这里做放下讲。休徘徊：这里指不要犹豫不决的意思。
西得诸侯棹锦水，欲向何门趿珠履？
译文：以你王郎的奇才，此去西川，一定会得到蜀中大官的赏识，却不知要去投奔哪一位地方长官？
注释：西得诸侯：即得到西蜀诸侯的遇合。得，得其信任。棹：摇船的工具，也泛指船。锦水：即锦江。趿：拖着拖鞋。珠履：缀有明珠的鞋子。
仲宣楼头春色深，青眼高歌望吾子，眼中之人吾老矣！
译文：仲宣楼那边已经是春末，我以青眼看着你，放声高歌，王郎你正当年富力强，我却已衰老无用了。
注释：仲宣：即王粲，字仲宣，建安七子之一。春色深：春末。青眼：魏国诗人阮籍能作青、白眼，青眼对人表示好感，白眼对人表示蔑视。高歌：放歌。吾子：指称王司直。眼中之人：有两说，一说指作者自己，一说指王司直。

杜甫（712－770），字子美，自号少陵野老，世称“杜工部”、“杜少陵”等，汉族，河南府巩县（今河南省巩义市）人，唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，杜甫被世人尊为“诗圣”，其诗被称为“诗史”。杜甫与李白合称“李杜”，为了跟另外两位诗人李商隐与杜牧即“小李杜”区别开来，杜甫与李白又合称“大李杜”。他忧国忧民，人格高尚，他的约1400余首诗被保留了下来，诗艺精湛，在中国古典诗歌中备受推崇，影响深远。759-766年间曾居成都，后世有杜甫草堂纪念。
