私居饭半菽，官舍食无肉。
何用太清生，囊无一钱蓄。
人言骨相寒，有智不如福。
贫者轻于叶，富者重如玉。
轻重信然否，世情手翻覆。
相彼守钱虏，无厌溪壑欲。
口不谈古今，枵然瓠壶腹。
渠固笑我癯，我亦笑渠俗。
珊瑚数十株，胡椒八百斛。
冥冥鬼瞰室，一跌赤其族。
未若贫而安，高枕睡常熟。
我我云溪阳，欹侧数椽屋。
屋后莳菘韭，屋前种梅竹。
室中四立壁，但有书可读。
世故驱我来，营此知斗粟。
仕不上青云，何如返耕牧。

王炎（1137——1218）字晦叔，一字晦仲，号双溪，婺源（今属江西）人。一生著述甚富，有《读易笔记》、《尚书小传》、《礼记解》、《论 语解》、《孝圣解》、《老子解》、《春秋衍义》、《象数稽疑》、《禹贡辨》等，《全宋词》第 三册录其词五十二首。事迹见胡升《王大监传》（《新安文献志》卷六九）、 《宋史翼》卷二四，参《南宋馆阁续 录》卷八、九。
