始秋我如京，褚中无所赍。
萧条方逆旅，败履手自提。
入门一曲几，尘暗乌皮低。
平生实有恃，壮气千虹蜺。
丈夫死则已，未互牛衣啼。
以兹悟生理，得殿庶可齐。
城中雪没靴，冻马不敢嘶。
病夫亦怕出，登楼去其梯。
故人知我贫，坐有一石韲。
招要过庐下，春风破馀凄。
老怀不胜酒，秩筵已如泥。
感君一寒语，醉乡强攀跻。
还归叱涂路，撑斤只杭梨。
我策三十六，第一捐町畦。
佩服今十年，墨化浙东西。
惟有三宿恋，弱念牵方闺。
常时过饭家，屋上瞻乌棲。
勿轻一壶酒，踏冻谁为携。

字器之，号臞翁，一号臞庵，自称“东塘人”。淳熙七年（1180年）乡荐第一，客居昆山。在太学，曾写诗送朱熹，又作诗悼赵汝愚，忤韩侂胄。庆元五年（1199年）进士。历任海门县主簿，漳州府学教授、广东转运司主管文字。因临安书商陈起刊刻《江湖集》受株连贬官。官至温陵通判。宝庆三年（1227年）卒。著有《臞翁诗集》2卷，收入《南宋群贤小集》。《江湖集》、《江湖后集》可见其佚诗。
