天地为蘧庐，光阴成驹隙。名誉等浮沤，冠簪亦陈迹。
世网空劳劳，礼法殊役役。所以贤达士，雅有烟霞癖。
山简迷目花，赞皇醒酒石。李白桃李园，谢朓青山宅。
缔思古人风，堪作今人格。余今凋朱颜，何须恋赤舄。
抗疏谢轩冕，跣足践蓬藋。筑屋治场圃，宾云友泉石。
赋性本清真，秉心矢皓白。阶前饶葱茜，架上富坟籍。
黄鸟鸣林皋，蠹鱼侵几席。醴酒恣欢娱，山蔬供烹炙。
焚香理素书，悬榻迎山客。维石性最坚，从不受磨折。
余隐誓效之，腐鼠安能嚇。不羡公与侯，何心仙与释。

毕自严，（一作曰岩）字景会（一作景曾），淄川人(今淄博市周村区王村镇万家村）。天启、崇祯年间任户部尚书，掌管全国财政。在财源枯竭、入不敷出的情况下，毕自严精心协调、精打细算，支撑明朝财政近10年，功在社稷。毕自严万历二十年弱冠时进士及第，授松江推官。他年少有大才，尤善于综理复杂的经济事务。先后任刑部主事、工部员外郎、淮徐道参议、河东副使、洮岷兵备参议、陕西右布政使，泰昌元年升为太仆寺卿，跻身九卿之列。
