心长景苦短，寒暑如逝川。励志在颜闵，何忧坎壈缠。
繄昔江侍读，中夜不遑寐。家贫业斫屉，自朝以至晦。
乘夜发箧书，苦无膏可焚。邻机声已寂，壁穴光难分。
元云散层阴，皎皎月轮吐。握卷招姮娥，姮娥不我扈。
启户一以眺，屋矮差可登。蹑足与相逐，不顾姮娥憎。
终岁以为常，兀兀意无倦。天帝悯其愚，故缓羲轮转。
清风激千载，嗣响更属谁。时乎不我待，芳草岂再蕤。
下走困谋食，懔懔三光流。安得鲁阳力，回彼羲和辀。
苕苕千百代，不朽惟有名。努力勖前修，上以希士清。

字吉丞，泰阶子。工词章，兼擅考据。南菁书院高才生，为院长黄元同、缪筱珊诸先生所激赏。对于乡邦文献亦所究心，刊有重思斋丛书，以郡优廪生中式。光绪甲午举人，屡试春官不第。科举废后，纳赀官内阁中书。旋改主事，甫到部，遽患咯血症，竟以不起。著有国朝汉学师承记，晋书集注，贡息甫年谱，龙砂志略，龙砂诗存，梓里咫闻录，重思斋诗存、文存各若干卷。邑续志传文苑。
