伫立东风，断魂南国。花光媚、春醉琼楼，蟾彩迥、夜游香陌。忆当时、酒恋花迷，役损词客。
译文：面对春风，我久久地站立着，消魂在江南。春天鲜花明亮妩媚，阁楼上醉酒就如临仙境，月之光辉感觉很遥远，夜里游冶烟花巷柳。回忆起当时，我曾沉湎于酒色之中，劳神而损伤。
注释：伫立：长时何地站立。断魂：犹言消魂，形容哀伤的心情。南国：南方，江南。琼楼：仙境中用美玉砌成的楼阁。此代指思念之人所居的青楼。蟾彩：即蟾光，月光。古代神话说月中有蟾蜍，故称月为蟾。迥：远。香陌：此指妓院集中的街道。花：指妓女。役损：因劳神而损伤。词客：词人。
别有眼长腰搦。痛怜深惜。鸳会阻、夕雨凄飞，锦书断、暮云凝碧。想别来，好景良时，也应相忆。
译文：除此之外，有一位貌若天仙、婀娜多姿的红颜知己。我们彼此非常相爱。来到江南后，从此相聚受阻，断了书信，非常凄苦、郁闷，就像傍晚飘飞着凄冷苦雨、天空中凝聚着乌云一样。想象中，每到良辰美景，我在思念她，她也一定在思念我吧。
注释：腰搦：一只手就能握住腰身，形容腰细。搦，用手握。鸳会：鸳鸯相会，比喻情人相聚。夕雨凄飞：傍晚冷雨纷飞。凄，寒冷。锦书：后称妻子寄给丈夫的书信为锦书。

柳永，（约987年—约1053年）北宋著名词人，婉约派代表人物。汉族，崇安（今福建武夷山）人，原名三变，字景庄，后改名永，字耆卿，排行第七，又称柳七。宋仁宗朝进士，官至屯田员外郎，故世称柳屯田。他自称“奉旨填词柳三变”，以毕生精力作词，并以“白衣卿相”自诩。其词多描绘城市风光和歌妓生活，尤长于抒写羁旅行役之情，创作慢词独多。铺叙刻画，情景交融，语言通俗，音律谐婉，在当时流传极其广泛，人称“凡有井水饮处，皆能歌柳词”，婉约派最具代表性的人物之一，对宋词的发展有重大影响，代表作 《雨霖铃》《八声甘州》。
