清明寒食不多时。香红渐渐稀。番腾妆束闹苏堤。留春春怎知。
译文：清明、寒食节过了没多久，百花逐渐退去了原有的艳丽色彩，慢慢凋谢了。人们为了挽留春光，翻腾衣柜，找出春天穿的衣服，纷纷出城来到苏堤，尽情游玩。想留住春天的脚步，然而春之神似乎并不懂得人们的用意。
注释：不多时：过了不多久。番腾，即“翻腾”。此处指翻腾衣柜，寻找春衣。苏堤：亦称苏公堤，是一条贯穿西湖南北风景区的林荫大堤。为苏轼任杭州知府疏浚西湖时取湖泥和葑草堆筑而成。已经成为西湖十景之首，名曰“苏堤春晓”。
花褪雨，絮沾泥。凌波寸不移。三三两两叫船儿。人归春也归。
译文：一场大雨过后，花朵被雨水洗洒而褪去鲜艳之色，柳絮飘落于泥中，被沾住而无法扬起，赏花的女子似乎没有受到什么影响，一步也没有移动，两个、三个游人结伴乘着船儿回去了，春天的脚步声也渐渐远去了。
注释：花褪雨：花朵被雨洗洒而褪去鲜艳之色。絮沾泥：柳絮飘落于泥中，被沾住而无法扬起。凌波句：凌波指水仙。这里指女子步履。寸：寸步。

马子严（生卒年不详），南宋文人，字庄父，自号古洲居士，建安（今福建建瓯）人。淳熙二年（1175）进士，历铅山尉，恤民勤政。长于文词，为寺碑，隐然有排邪之意，为仓铭，蔼然有爱民之心（《嘉靖铅山县志》卷九）。能诗，尝与赵蕃等唱和，《诗人玉屑》卷一九引《玉林诗话》，谓《乌林行》辞意精深，不减张籍、王建之乐府”。尝知岳阳，撰《岳阳志》二卷，不传（刘毓盘《古洲词辑本跋》）。其馀事迹无考。据集中《金陵怀古》、《咏琼花》诸作，知其足迹遍及大江南北。近人赵万里辑有《古洲词》二十九首。《全宋词》第三册录其词。《全宋诗》卷二六五O录其诗五首。
