客夜怎生过。梦相伴、绮窗吟和。薄嗔佯笑道，若不是恁凄凉，肯来么。
译文：寄居在外的夜晚要怎么挨过？梦里有她倚着窗子与我吟诗作对，她故作嗔怪。强作笑颜道：你如果不是心绪这般凄凉，会来与我相聚吗？
注释：寻芳草：词牌名，又名《王孙信》，双调五十二字，上片四句四仄韵，下片四句三仄韵。萧寺：佛寺。相传梁武帝萧衍造佛寺，命萧子云书飞白大字“萧寺”。后世遂以萧寺为佛寺之称谓。怎生：怎样，怎么。吟和：吟诗唱和。薄嗔：佯笑:假意嗔怒、故作嗔怪。佯笑：假装笑貌。恁：如此。
来去苦匆匆，准拟待、晓钟敲破。乍偎人一闪灯花堕，却对著琉璃火。
译文：无奈来去都太过匆匆，本来打算让你陪我到晨钟敲响的时候，但你才刚依偎着我，一片灯花坠落，惊醒了我的梦，你已经不见了，眼见只有寺院里的长明灯在闪烁。
注释：准拟：准备、打算。晓钟敲破：晨钟敲醒，惊破好梦。乍：刚。灯花堕：灯花坠落。灯花坠落：灯芯燃烧时结成的花状物。堕：坠落。瑠璃火：此指琉璃灯，即用角质透明的灯罩遮罩之灯火。周密《武林旧事》卷二“元夕”云:“灯之品极多，每以‘苏灯’为最，圈片大者径三四尺，皆五色琉璃所成。”蒋捷《女冠子·元夕》:“春风飞到，宝钗楼上，一片笙箫，琉璃光射。”

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
