在我8岁那年，六月的一个炎热的中午，我高高兴兴地出门玩耍，下午回家后，我立刻打开电风扇，一股清凉的风迎面扑来，让我舒服极了。但到了晚上，我便感到头昏目眩，身体发热，这时，才知道自己发烧了。妈妈知道我的病情后，每天都奔走于药铺为我买药。尽管妈妈忙碌，但我的病情仍没有得到好转。后来只得住进医院。我在医院里一住就是两天，天天都得打吊针,可病情仍然不见起色。虽然这只是短短的两天时间，但对我这只受伤的蝴蝶来说，时间已过得太长。这种不见好转的病在我心里留下了一种抹不掉的阴影。我害怕，我伤心地将这恐惧的心情告诉妈妈。听了我的话，妈妈的眼睛有些湿润，她一边抚摸着我，一边亲切地安慰我说：“你真是傻孩子，你这只是一个小病，很快就可以好的，你现在要做勇敢者，面对并克服眼前的一切。”就这样，妈妈日以继夜地坐在床边守护着、陪伴着我。白天，妈妈买了食物或取来药、弄来水后，便静静地坐在我身边，嘴里哼着小曲给我听，让我开心；傍晚时分，呼啸的狂风毫不留情地吹进病房，妈妈坐在床边，脱下自己的上衣盖在我的身上，生怕我着凉。风呼呼地刮着，偶尔飘来些雨滴，妈妈穿得很单薄，不住地打寒颤。深夜，当妈妈的手抚摸着我发烫的额头上时，我顿时醒来，感到一种冰凉，便心痛地对妈妈说：“妈妈，快把衣服穿上，小心着凉。”妈妈微笑着说：“没关系，妈妈不冷，好好睡吧。”
在妈妈的精心照顾下，我的病终于好了，但妈妈却瘦了一圈。我知道，在我生病的日子里，妈妈为了我日夜操劳，自己却没有吃好过一顿饭，睡好过一次觉。看着妈妈苍白疲惫的面颊、布满血丝的双眼，我的心里难受极了，忍不住一头扎进妈妈的怀里，放声大哭……
妈妈不但在我生病时无微不至地照顾我，而且当我在学习上遇到困难和受到挫折时，她也是给予我极大的关怀和鼓励。
记得我上一年级的一次数学考试中，因为我的失误，造成我只得88分。我怀着沉重而恐惧的心情回到家中。妈妈看出了我的心思，便问原因，我惭愧地埋头不语。在妈妈再三询问下，我才吞吞吐吐地将考砸的事情告诉妈妈并拿出试卷。妈妈对我说了几句教育和鼓励的话，然后指着错题耐心地一道一道给我讲解，直到我听懂为止。妈妈又出了几道题让我做。不一会儿，我便做好了。最后，妈妈拿起红笔学着老师的样子改起“试卷”来，改完后，妈妈高兴地说了一声：“100分。”看着妈妈满意的微笑，我深深地感动了-----妈妈的微笑给了我战胜一切困难的力量和信心。
